The search template (when editing custom field) is set to Multi User Picker Searcher, and the template in editing script for the field is set to User Picker (multiple users). The preview does not work complaining:
The indexer for this field expects a com.atlassian.jira.user.ApplicationUser but the script returned a java.util.ArrayList.
When a real issue is being viewed, the value of the field is displayed correctly, the problem is with preview.
Note, that in 3.0.16 the preview for the very same field worked perfectly, only in 4.1.3 it broke.
