Please backport GRV-721 to a JIRA 6.4-compatible version

According to GRV-721, there is a fix in place in 4.1.4, which, unfortunately, is only compatible with JIRA 7.

Exceptionally cool behaviour would be to backport the specific change to the previous, free, version, but I will fully understand if it will only come in the form of a bugfix release, which I, none the less, will ask you to consider doing, as not all of our clients are ready to upgrade to JIRA 7 just yet (I stumbled upon after doing an upgrade to JIRA 6.4.11 recently, and they are hounding me for a solution and are nowhere near ready to upgrade to JIRA 7 so soon after an upgrade).

Please, please, pretty please,

Sune Mølgaard

To elaborate: our client uses this transitioning along with a custom plugin to set security levels and a re getting desperate.

Is there any chance for a patch and extraordinary accept of me decompiling, patching and recompiling (via private communication if needs be)?
