Hi Jamie,
I have created Custom Listener , which listens for Issue Updated event.
The listener is updating an nFeed field in another issue based on some JQL.
The listener is working correctly when i do an Issue Update using JIRA Edit button.
The same listener throws Worklfow time out error , when i am executing workflow transition with Issue Update event.

Listener Logic -
get Field Value & search in other project using JQL & update the nFeed field using issue.setCutomfieldValue, call IssueUpdate & Reindex Issue that isssue.

This logic works fine in EDIT button, but not in Workflow transition.

Hi Jamie,

I uploaded file - ExListener1.groovy where i am updating an issue UP-1 with an nFeed field (User Software Compatibility) value as Red.
This listener is working properly on Edit Issue Button, but not on Transition (errror Timeout error )with Issue Updated Event.
Transition screen has fields - Comments , nFeed Customfield.

Hi Kapil,

I need you to attach "the smallest possible code that demonstrates an issue"... I can;t set up all the custom fields in order to test the code you attached. Is this definitely related to the nFeed plugin, does it happen with a different field?

To clarify, you've created this as a Critical Bug... so you need to demonstrate that it actually is a bug in the plugin rather than in your code.
cheers, jamie

Hi Jamie,

I have listener configured only for one project, and updating the issue in another project where listener is not configured , & even i am not dispatching any event when updating the issue
The script is giving the expected result in the EDIT button

so you're updating an issue in an update listener, which triggers an update, which updates the issue... etc etc.
