Have you added the groovy-all jar from the groovy distribution? If so can you shut down jira, remove atlassian-jira.log, start it up, reproduce this error, and then attach this log file?
The log file
I have added the groovy-all.jar to atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/lib . When restarting the jira i can see groovyrunner is disabled in plugins. when i try to enable it gives a error. This happen previously but suddenly worked when manually enabling the modules. But now manually also not possible.
I have attached the logs.
The plugin us a plugins1 plugin, so needs to be installed in web-inf/lib, not in /home/jira/catalina/jira-4.3.3.home/plugins/installed-plugins/groovyrunner-1.7.11.jar. Please remove it from installed-plugins and put in web-inf/lib, same place as the groovy-all jar.
