Groovy failed to load

The following plugins failed to load:
groovyrunner: There was a problem loading the descriptor for module 'Script Manager' in plugin 'groovyrunner'.
Error retrieving dependency of class: com.onresolve.jira.groovy.ScriptManagerImpl. Missing class: groovy/lang/GroovyObject
Jira Workflow Report Plugin: There was a problem loading the descriptor for module 'Workflows in Use Report' in plugin 'Jira Workflow Report Plugin'.
Error retrieving dependency of class: com.atlassian.jira.web.action.WorkflowReport. Missing class: groovy/lang/GroovyObject

Yes, that was it, I didn't have the groovy all jar. thanks!

Also can we double-check which plugin you have installed. This project is for the script runner plugin, but you're having an issue with the workflow report plugin. It doesn't depend on this plugin, but it does depend on groovy, which is something else. (I can see how this could be confusing by the way).

From the logs it looks like you're just missing the groovy jar... is it definitely there? Docs in the installation instructions.

NB I am talking about a jar called something like groovy-all-1.7.10.jar, and not the groovyrunner.X.X.jar.

note, i am able to "enable" (so it says) the plugin after startup via the UPM but then trying to enable Report Workflows Plugin which depends on groovyrunner fails.
the after restart the groovy runner is always disabled.
