Hi Jamie,

I come back with another proposition

I did an issue event listener and integrate it if you feel it interesting.

Hi - 1.7.4 has support for listeners:

Feel free to reopen if it's not what you were expecting.
cheers, jamie

Valentijn, I agree. I have some ideas but been busy with the compatibility changes for 4.3. Not too sure why Bruno closed this one to be honest. It's possible to use groovy listeners atm but they need to either be compiled, or you need a java "stub" listener like Bruno provided. But I think there's scope for improvement over both these approaches.

I'd love to see Groovy Listener integration, something like the way we can create a Groovy Service now.

Forget it, I saw your implementation with the listeners on

and indeed it is enough

Hi again...

I write a lot of listeners in groovy for various reasons, but I tend to just compile the class and not use the script runner plugin at all. Your listener only fires on workflowEvent right... I like the idea but I'm not sure about setting up the UI, to make it easy enough for people to use. Maybe the params could specify which events it's relevant to or something...?

Not sure if you've seen version 1.7 but I'm shipping a bunch of useful scripts that people try to write themselves.. I've been thinking about incorporating listeners but still not entirely sure how to make it really easy to use.

But thanks for this... if I don't incorporate exactly this it will be something similar
